FROM KEARNEY TO THE WORLD

The eFree Global Outreach team sought prayer for the right opportunity for our church’s future. God has answered our prayers through a partnership with Compassion International. In November 2017, we took the first step toward a long-term partnership with Magangue, Colombia.

In the summer of 2018 and 2019, we sent short-term mission teams to Magangue.

In 2019, we funded and plant a church near this beautiful city, which is desperate for the gospel of Christ.

In the years to come, we will continue to sponsor children, train pastors, assist with work projects, and serve the people of Magangue.

This will be a church-wide effort that invites various levels of ongoing participation for all demographics. In the name of Jesus, we will ask God to help us be part of alleviating spiritual and economic poverty in Magangue for decades to come.

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. – Acts 1:8

Chicago Partnership

Thoughts from former Chicago team members

  • “When one thinks of serving on a mission trip, the thought is about blessing others.  However, my experience is God greatly touches you in service with blessings in new relationships/friendships, personnel growth, fond memories, & an appreciation of His diverse creation.  A must do from my viewpoint.” – Al Liibbe

  • “I had been asked several times, over several years, if I’d be interested in the Chicago Mission Trip by Wendell Snyder.  I didn’t know much about it and had my reservations about doing something like that.  After Wendell passed away in 2005 Ron Follmer started asking if I’d be interested in going.  After a couple more years I finally agreed to go check it out.  I don’t know exactly what I expected from that first mission trip, but it wasn’t at all like I thought it would be. The people around Circle and Rock Church were the nicest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met.
They treat us like family, and after all these years it really feels like going home to a family reunion.  Any of our differences are quickly replaced with close personal relationships and friendships.  I don’t know if any other mission trips are like this one, but I do know that I’ve made friends for life and I look forward to going back, or hosting them here as much as possible. Regarding how this mission trip has changed me in a positive way I’d say I was a luke-warm Christian before I got involved with Chicago, but after seeing how much faith my Brothers and Sisters in Chicago have in the Gospel of Jesus I couldn’t help but be moved to a new level in my personal faith.  I can’t adequately describe how this relationship with Chicago has changed me, but all I can say is you need to come along with us and check it out for yourselves.” – Joe Maul

  • “The reason why I went on the Chicago trip is because it was close to home and easy to do finance-wise for a college-age person. I also had a long time friend saying you should go. So I went and had a great time and have gone most every year now.” Lisa

  • “I did mission work in my home country in South America  and wanted to do the same here in TheUnited States. I feel this is what God has called me to do. In my home country I went to teach others about Christ, but on this trip to Chicago I went to serve others. I enjoyed serving others because this is what Jesus did for us.” Ingrith Yaneth Tejeiro Aguilar
